What's your earthquake story.
On this website we invite you to share your earthquake story. We want to know which earthquake it was that affected you? Where were you and how did you get through it. Your story may inspire others, you may have some valuable advice that others can benefit from. 
It can be any earthquakes in NZ, from the Christchurch 2010-2011 earthquakes to the most recent the 7.8 Kaikoura Earthquake.


The Great Alpine Fault….. What if?
Just imagine your husband or wife is at work, your kids are at school and an earthquake has just happened and it is the ’Big One’ Magnitude 8.2.  Do you know what to do, Do you think you’re ready?

History
The Alpine Fault is 600 kilometres up the spine of the south island of New Zealand, and is between the Pacific and Australian plates. The fault last ruptured in 1717 with a magnitude 8.0
